Mack reached out regarding a couples photo session, he had the idea of including his vintage BMW, and of course, I said absolutely, hell yesss!! It had been raining all weekend and was still raining pretty bad on the day of their shoot. I reached out to see if they wanted to postpone and they decided let’s just go for it. He said it was the memories that mattered most. I mentioned if it was raining, instead of going to the rooftop we could still capture some beautiful images in the parking garage.
As we were both driving it was still raining hard the whole way there, we pulled in at the same time. I decided to walk up to the rooftop just to be sure….to my surprise absolutely no rain…What!! You could literally see the rain all around us just a block over. I was shocked. We were up top for a whole hour and no rain at all. Once we pulled out of the garage to head home, I was about a block away and hit the heavy downpour again.
This session was just meant to be! And of course, Ms. Picadilly (their beautiful pup) stole the show and my heart. I had such an amazing time with them at their rooftop session in downtown Austin.

Engagement or Self-Portrait Photo Shoot Idea:
Are you looking for Engagement or Self Portrait photoshoot ideas, consider renting a vintage car and heading to the rooftop. The vintage car becomes the centerpiece of this captivating scene, adding a touch of classic sophistication to the photo shoot. Whether it’s a sleek and polished 1950s vintage convertible or a rugged and robust muscle car from the 1960s, the vintage car’s charisma complements the chemistry combined with a breathtaking rooftop view.
To enhance the vintage ambiance of the photo shoot, couples often opt for attire that echoes the era of the car. Classic outfits, inspired by the fashion of the car’s heyday, bring an extra layer of authenticity to the shoot. Elegant dresses, dapper suits, and accessories like fedora hats or long gloves can transport the couple back in time, creating an aesthetic harmony with the vintage car.
The rooftop adds an urban twist to the photo shoot, providing a dynamic contrast to the vintage car. As you move through various poses, I will capture candid moments of laughter, stolen glances, and tender embraces against the backdrop of the city skyline.
Beyond the vintage car, couples can incorporate other elements to enhance the overall aesthetic. Retro suitcases, old-fashioned cameras, vintage record players, or a bouquet of classic flowers can be used as props to enhance the atmosphere. Attention to detail brings depth and richness to the photographs, evoking a sense of nostalgia that resonates with viewers.
Once the photoshoot concludes, you are left with a collection of beautiful images that tell a unique story.
